Supinda Bunyavanich, MD, MPH is Associate Director of the Jaffe Food Allergy Institute and Associate Professor and practicing Allergist/Immunologist in the Department of Pediatrics and Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, NY. She is also a member of Mount Sinai’s Institute for Data Science and Genomic Technology and the Mindich Child Health and Development Institute. Dr. Bunyavanich earned her BA summa cum laude from Harvard University, MD from Harvard Medical School, MPhil from the University of Cambridge, and MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health. She completed her internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, her allergy/immunology fellowship at Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and her postdoctoral research fellowship at the Channing Division of Network Medicine, Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Prior to being recruited to Mount Sinai, she served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School where she received the Harvard Medical School Shore Award for Scholars in Medicine. Dr. Bunyavanich’s research group focuses on the epidemiology and integrative genomics of asthma and allergic disorders. Dr. Bunyavanich serves on the Reviewer Board for the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and as a grant reviewer for the National Institutes of Health. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Allergy/Immunology. In addition to directing her NIH-funded research group, Dr. Bunyavanich provides patient care and teaches medical students, graduate students, residents, clinical fellows, and post-doctoral fellows
